Creating a New Vision for an Old City

Edinburgh is in a process of rapid change. The Scottish Government South East Scotland (SES) plan shows that 'the capital city will become increasingly significant for the economy, culture and education of a much wider region.' How can the Christian community respond creatively and effectively to these changes? What challenges and opportunities are there for bold and faithful presence? Are you interested in putting the Church at the heart of the city centre? Edinburgh City Centre Churches Together, in partnership with the University of Edinburgh's Centre for Theology and Public Issues, invites you to a day of storytelling and sharing; theological reflection and analysis - and a day for creating new visions. There will be input from Rev Ian Gilmour (Edinburgh City Centre Churches Together) Dr Eric Stoddart (St Andrews University) and Rev Fiona Bennett (Augustine United Church) and plenty of time for discussion. Prof Paul Ballard will also be with us to summarise and help us look to the future. The conference will be held at New College. Refreshments and lunch are included. There is no charge, but please register by booking a place using the Eventbrite link below.
