In December 2020, The Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture elected Professor Mona Siddiqui as Speaker and Honorary Member. Image Siddiqui is the first Speaker to be elected in the history of the Academy, replacing the position of Honorary Chaplain, a role which has for two centuries been held by Church of Scotland Ministers. The appointment represents the diverse range of beliefs amongst the Academy’s Members.
