Professor Emeritus Larry Hurtado's recent book, Destroyer of the gods:  Early Christian Distinctiveness in the Roman World (Baylor University Press, 2016), has won the 2017 PROSE Award in Archaeology and Ancient History, the PROSE awards are made annually under the auspices of the Association of American Publishers at the Professional and Scholarly Publishing Conference.
