New College Cafe opened in the Rainy Hall in March 2022, providing staff and students with a place to enjoy good food with good people. The Cafe is managed by the Grassmarket Community Project, a social enterprise that creates opportunities for those furthest from mainstream education and employment opportunities through social enterprise, mentoring, education and support.

The Kitchen in Rainy Hall has always been an important part of our community. This is where staff and students could find refreshment and take a break with their friends and colleagues in the most beautiful part of the building, the Rainy Hall. Following the pandemic and recent renovations, this centre of community life is back.
