Details of Professor Bill Shaw's Memorial Service. Please see below details of a memorial sevice in July for formal Pincipal, Rev Professor Bill Shaw. The family plans to hold a Memorial Service for our uncle as a celebration of his life. Timing will depend on any continuing Covid-19 restrictions, however. Speculating that the easing of any restrictions may not occur before Spring or early Summer, we are currently planning to hold the Service on the 14thJuly, 2021, being the anniversary of his passing. The Service will be held at 2.30pm at Cramond Kirk, Cramond Glebe Road, Edinburgh EH4 6NS by the Very Reverend Dr. Russell Barr, Bill’s minister, who has kindly agreed to conduct the Service. This will be followed by the placing of ashes in the Garden of Remembrance at the Kirk and then a reception at the Royal Burgess Golfing Society, 181 Whitehouse Road, Barnton, Edinburgh EH4 6BU at 4.00pm, with a light afternoon tea. Tributes will be given by one family member and Prof. Ron Piper, former Principal at St. Mary’s College, St. Andrews and Prof. David Fergusson of New College, Edinburgh, Dean of the Chapel Royal and the Order of the Thistle.
